The Phillips Electric Company, Inc. was founded in 1946 as an electrical contracting and engineering company. As the business expanded into repair services, Redmond Electric was acquired in 1949 and then combined with the Waltz Electric Company in 1953, to form the Redmond Waltz Division. Satisfied customers include ISG, Cleveland Public Schools, NASA, FORD, Cleveland State University, ALCOA, CWRU, Ashland Chemical, SIFCO, Park Ohio Industries, General Motors, and DuPont.
Other achievements include:
In 2002 we were awarded the DuPont contract for developing the Segmented Induction Motor. This revolutionary electric motor is under design and development by the Special Projects division.
