Ethanol blended gasoline can contain up to 30 times more water than non-ethanol gasoline, which can cause corrosion... and phase separation (drop out of the ethanol and water to the bottom of the fuel tank) over the winter. It also destabilizes much faster, and that gums up carburetors and injectors...
