CME was founded in 1977 providing reliable marine support to the shipping industry in the Newark NJ Area. In its 31 years of existence CME has grown into a major leader providing marine support to the utility and construction industry in the Northeast, and internationally transporting cargo around the world. The privately owned, 10 acre marine facility on the Arthur Kill has 750’ of usable bulkhead accommodating deep draft ocean going vessels, and has access to all major highways. The facility has 90,000 Sq ft of warehousing, 3 rail spurs with 2 switching locomotives and a host of weight handling and construction support equipment. CME's facility is a US Coast Guard certified MARSEC facility offering dockside support, licensed stevedoring, repairs, marshalling and warehousing. CME is also approved for DOD transportaion
