ISS activities include two product lines: the fluorescence analytical division manufactures and markets spectrofluorometers for time-resolved and steady-state fluorescence measurements and FLIM/FCS confocal microscopes; the medical division provides instruments for the absolute measurements of oxygen saturation in tissue (brain and muscle) as well as functional brain imaging. An extensive line of modular components complements the instrumentation: laser diodes, LEDs, high pressure cell and fiber optic sensors amongst an extensive line of accessories; data acquisition cards for FCS and FLIM, laser launchers, galvo-scanning mirrors and detector units. Applications include Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET), Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM), Fluorescence Fluctuation Spectroscopy (FCS, FCCS, PCH), tissue oxygenation, and Optical Topography (NIRS).
