KDC does R & D, manufacturing and marketing of innovative microwave technology-based sensors for monitoring properties of industrial materials continuously and nondestrictively. Examples include online monitoring of moisture content, density and flow rates of wood or mineral-based particulates,panels or matts. Sensors have also been developed for insitu nondestructive inspection of complex dielectric properties, such as used for military stealth materials and FRP composite materials (e.g., tanks and pipes)that have been exposed to corrosive chemicals. Our sensors satisfy many market needs that are not now being met; the ability to measure on-line, in real time and with exceptional sensitivity, complex dielectric properties that relate to fundamental physical properties. KDC's technology base stems from nearly $3 million dollars in successful R&D, with the majority of funding coming from winning multiple, highly competitive Phase I and II Small Business Innovative Research
