Janus Elevator Products was formed in 1988 and is the sole supplier in the US for infrared elevator door safety systems manufactured by Memco Ltd. Janus is based in Long Island, and supplies a number of the leading elevator manufacturing and service companies throughout the US. In 2005, Janus took over distribution for its sister company Electronic Micro Systems, including Vandal-Proof Products (VPP). Other companies' products under the Janus banner include TL Jones and Emotive-USA.
